This photoshoot at the Byzantine Villa in Santorini focused on capturing the quiet elegance and historical character of a stone-built retreat nestled in the traditional village of Emporio. The villa’s architecture reflects timeless Cycladic craftsmanship, with thick stone walls, arched lines and warm, organic textures that beautifully absorb and reflect the island’s natural light. I approached this project with a focus on honoring the villa’s historic essence while showcasing its thoughtful modern touches. The play between light and shadow on the stone surfaces, the intimacy of the private courtyard and pool area and the soft curves of the interior made for a rich visual narrative.
